Herbed Turkey Burgers *

(from Bon Appetit) The secret to moist turkey burgers is adding bread crumbs and egg white. This is not a big vegetable recipe but it’s so good and healthy, we just had to share it with you!


  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1 cup fresh whole wheat bread, cut into cubes (2 slices without crust)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 3 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 3 teaspoons mustard
  • 2 egg whites, beaten to blend
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper


Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and using hands, mix thoroughly.  Shape into patties (they will be very moist) and grill or broil about 6 minutes per side.

* Wine Pairing:  Turkey and Pinot Noir are a great match.  Turkey burgers and Pinot Noir are even better!
