Honey Blistered Shishito Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1/3 lb Shishitos
  • 1/2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil, kosher salt & black pepper

Honey Sauce

  • 2 tsp melted butter
  • 4 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp pepper flakes -optional

Directions

  1. Combine honey mixture ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Add oil to a cast iron or heavy pan and heat over medium high heat.
  3. Once the oil is heated, add the peppers and cook without stirring until they are browned on one side, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir continue cooking until browned and tender stirring occasionally allowing them to get a deep brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes more.
  5. Once cooked, drizzle peppers with the honey mixture and cook 1 minute more.
  6. Serve warm.
